Hi Guys...

I have a 1965 C30 Dump with a 292 and a 1 barrel carb. The throttle shaft is worn and allows air to get in causing the idle to go up especially at a stop light.

Is there a kit out there to repair this? I did a search and did not find one.

Most carb shops can put bushings in your base plate for you. Check the yellow pages and call around.

I bought a reamer and some bushings form McMaster Carr and did it myself. Once you buy the parts, you can do a lot of them for cheap. The bushings are standard size along with the shaft. To trick is getting the throttle blades off with out breaking the screws. Once thats done, its a easy repair with a standard drill press.
