Has anyone here done this and have any pointers and secrets you care to share? Like to start at the rear of the cab but not be real radical, still use the bed but raise the floor. Not pro street, just help lower the rear and have new metal to work with.

I also had to cut a hole in the bed for the differental to come up thru. I then fabricated a new wood floor that is 2 1/2 inches higher. Used Mar-k rails and oak and s/s bolts from the local Menards.The whole thing is held in place by 4 bolts

It's been professionally c-notched,set up for air bags and includes the gas tank. Wanting to cut the OG frame at or near the back of the cab and use what I need of the new frame. The OG frame has some rust issues, what is the best way to join the 2 halfs together? I want to keep the front half and run the Og six and straight axle. Will post up some pics of the new frame tomorrow. thanks

Not as nice as I had hoped but not a butcher job either From the rear shackle mounts to the front of the frame is a little over 8 feet so that shoud be plenty to dial in the length I need. Has about 18" from rear shackle mount to rear of frame
