Can anyone tell me what the differences are between a 55 2nd 235 truck motor and a 1960 passenger car 235 motor?

The major difference between the motors is the truck motor has mechanical lifters and the car motor had hydraulic lifers.

The are a variety of minor differences in the bolt-on parts.

The '60 engine will also have provisions for side motor mounts.

A 1960 block will not have the front side mount needed to put in a 1955.
