I have found a rot free hood on a 62 chevy bus, will it fit my 63 1/2 ton? They look identical , but before I grab it, id like to make sure. Also found 2 rust free complete 62 grills with the oval bezels if anyone might be interested that are in excellent cond.

If the length from front to rear is the same, it will bolt right on. There are some big truck models with a hood about half the length which obviously won't fit, but the others interchange. Actually a school bus is normally the best donor for a mint condition hood (if you can find one) because most were well maintained and high up off the ground avoiding road salt and rust.

Cool, they are sure though to find in NC. Someone actually pulled the hood off about 20 years ago and put it in the back of the bus, so its been sheltered for 20+ years, and at only $90 a pretty good price, considering no one reproduces it. Thanks for the input.
