i have a 95 LT1 w/4EL60 trans that i am putting in a 66 carryall,my problem is trying to keep the electric speedo for the painless wiring computer to operate PLUS have a manual speedo for the stock speedometer in dash, does anybody make some kind of adapter to use both ?

I know the 4L60E is pretty much the same thing as a 700r4 trans, which had some manual speedos.

i assume you typed the trans wrong, as it should be a 4L60E in an lt1, which may be why you cant find anything, but i could be wrong. I found this in a google search

I would convert to mechanical & then use a speed sensor from 85-87 C10/85-92 R10 truck, it was mounted to the back of the speedo, prolly easily adapted to the 66 unit.
