Well, I finally after all these years, found something that Harbor Freight sells that actually works like it’s suppose to, in fact it works better than any one that I’ve ever bought in the past half century. No it’s not made specificly to work on your Stovebolt with but sure you can use it for that when she needs a bath. The item, a simple spray nozzle for your hose. I’ve bought literally dozens of different designs over the years and all of them up till now have been junk. The only one that has lasted is the solid brass twist nozzle but all that does is spray straight or in a cone shape.
This one has six different positions for six different patterns, Jet, flat, angled flat, soaker, shower & mist, and they all work just GREAT!!!!! The kicker is they are only $8 on sals now for $6. http://www.harborfreight.com/six-pattern-trigger-spray-nozzle-92398.html

I use pistol sprayers at a number of positions at the mill - very hot water so I use insulated ones - Gilmour [who invented the pistol sprayer] has a lifetime guarantee, if it's ever unsatisfactory take it back to the store and trade for new or get yer money back, can't beat that, and I've never had to call on it wink Gilmour prolly makes the HF ones

I have found some good deals at Harbor Freight. As I tell my buddies, I don't buy anything from them that my life or eyesight depended on. Anyhow, just to name a couple.
I bought a beverly or rotary shear for light metal work. Works great for what I need to do. Also, they had a small tubing bender that was the only bender I had that was able to make a tight enough bend for one of the lines on my truck. I also like their boxes of parts like, copper washers, C-clips etc. You can get hundreds of small parts for little money. I have had good and bad results with their air tools. The couplings are crap. They leak like crazy, but I bought a small metal saw and it works great. The cut off tool I got stalls out all the time.

Denny, I couldn't open your link. The filter on my network thinks it has spyware attached to it.

That's why I hate those programs that take over my confuser. Try just going to the HF site and using item number 92398.

No big thing but it is the best multifunction nozzle I've found and for the price you simply can't beat it.

I have a network at my home office that gets on to my remote server, and we have to be very careful because we use the system to do a lot of financial transactions. Anyway, I looked at the nozzle. At the moment I could only buy one and hope for rain. We have such a drought down here that we have a city ordinance forbidding washing vehicles, so I couldn't use it anyway.

And we've got just the opposite problem Ken, here's a line or two from one of the papers:

"According to the National Weather Service, July 2011 is the wettest July on record in Chicago, with a total of 11.15 inches of rainfall. This broke the old record of 9.56 inches which was set in 1889. Such records have been kept since 1872."

By this time of the summer usually the grass has gone dorment and I don't have to mow it but every two or three weeks. But this year it's like a jungle, gotta get out twice a week or it's knee high.

Back in the fifties when I was in HS I had a job washing cars at a gas station and the owner had a straight black rubber on/off nozzle. All you had to do to turn on the water was bend or flex the nozzle and it went to full on. If you wanted to spray it use your thumb time. ABSOLUTELY the best nozzle I've ever used and have been looking for on for over 50 years...no luck.

ps...we finally are getting some rain today. Wednesday was 109 and everything is as dry as a popcorn fart.

His dad works for Harbor, but seriously it can be difficult to find tools in my area that aren't made overseas, except for professional models like Snap On, which I can't afford for the few times I would use it. About the only place I can find affordable North American tools is at swap meets. If someone in the Washington State or BC area can let me know I will support them.
