Howdy, I want to put 16 inch rims on my 1947 Chevy 1/2 ton, (6-bolt) but don't know where to start to look for the rims. I want originial no after market spinners or fancy stuff just some old rims I can clean up paint and put some cool "dog dish" hubs on. Help web searches turn up nothing is this strickly a junk yard search and if so what range of dates do I search for. HELP!

Those 16" rims were common for many years. You can buy brand new ones if you like as they are now making them. I hear that the new ones only take the new hubcaps. The hubcaps look identical to the old ones but fit differently, according to what I have read.
