I don't know that they are worth that, but some people pay those kind of prices for bragging rights. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 1,107 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 1,107 | for me its $100 until its been proven its not junk. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 9 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 9 | So, if I have one and am thinking of selling, how would you suggest I "prove it's not junk"? If the payout is worth it I would be willing to put a little time/money into it.

As Ashton mentioned, it would probably fetch $100 as a "cat in a bag". If it is not cracked, prices I mentioned would be in order from someone who wanted one. If it is cracked, it is worth scrap iron price. The price a machine shop would charge to test it depends on the shop's reputation and prices in your area. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 9 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 9 | Thanks for the info. Obviously all guides and seats are presumed to need work. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 9 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 9 | I've taken the head to a machine shop I like to be checked. Thanks again for the advice.

Lots of racing guys would give their left one for an H head. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 1,922 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2008 Posts: 1,922 | | | | | | Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 9 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2011 Posts: 9 | Thanks for the ideas on where to post. I'll be more excited when and if the head is good.
