I finally got a LCF truck. Its a 57 5700 series. Not too bad of shape. Its just the body, frame cut behind the cab. I also bout a 2003 GMC W4500 HD cab over for the chassis and drive train. Now the fun starts. Making it a crew cab with a 59 fleetside bed with stepside fenders cut down and bolted on to make it a dually bed. I thought this was going to be a 2 yaer project but the wife actually wants it done by spring so she can get a new 5th wheel camper. I guess it could be worse, she could be yelling at me about spending money and working on it. Here are some pics

I had to take the wheels off and bolted casters to the bottom of the sprins so it would fint through the garage door.

Ok I fixed the pics. I am a little tech-tarded sometimes when it comes to posting pictures

not your 'mistake' buggy, and you haven't actually changed anything, the problem is the link turns into something other than what it appears, a 'referrer click thru' of some kind, which some browsers protection setup will reject ..... hover the mouse on the link, right click and select copy, then paste it into an address bar and look at how it's grown wink

Looks good. I've owned two of them. A 1955 5700 series, & a 1956 5700 series. I've always wanted a Heavy Duty '56, or '57 model 7000, or 9000 series LCF. Always liked how you had to pull on both hood latch levers, at the same time, then push the hood up with your shoulder.
