First post in this section and am looking for some feedback. Just bought this on ebay supposedly to use as my work truck (thats what I told the wife).Got it as a second chance after the auction was over so I figured fate stepped in and I spent the money.They were asking $9500 on their website.If the body is as solid as the 46 I got from the praries I'm happy. Super unique. The photos are from The Silver Book for 1963 Chevy trucks. I would be glad to view the photos with you and give you some heads-up on factory-correct & non-factory items or modifications.

Thanks for the info and interest Tony . Once I see the truck in person I'll have a better idea of what I'll do with it. I assume the side windows were added as part of the ambulance/rescue package.

Yes Cletis it would be a shame to use it as a work truck , although I think it would be a bigger shame not to use this truck.

That's a very nice truck. From the pictures it looks to be very clean and little to no rust. You have about $1000 in accessories too, with the litter, siren and lights. Do a major detail on it and drive it like a suburban. Should get about 13-15 mpg with the stock motor and gears.

They claim it to be a 3/4 ton, is that correct? I am not sure about this series of trucks. I can find one tons and half tons and this one looks to be a half ton.

there is only 115 and 133"basic panels and that designates 1/2 and 1t only not any 3/4t. I did have an ambulance that was stretched to 145 " w/b and that was a 1/2t.

The books list a 115", 127" & 133" wheelbase on the Panels, in 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton & 1 ton. I stand corrected...3/4 ton, 127" wheel base is not listed.

Also,if you're parking it in your garage,it might not fit,
as the roof vent sticks up above the roof.

That sure looks like a half-ton. And what a find! Congrats!!

The VIN says that it's a 115" wheelbase 1/2 ton.

Tony; it would be interesting to see your source for a production 127" w/b panel

yes the vin indicates 1/2T - and the book shown from the Rescue All company says they built them on GMC 1/2T or 1T .... on the auction they say it was from Arizona and maintained by the state, and show an AZ title - on their own site they say it was from Nevada ..... ya always need to take a salt shaker along to ebay

Those S-10 hubcaps won't fit 3/4 ton wheels, so its gotta be a half-ton.
