For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 71 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 71 | I installed a new master cylinder on my '54 Chevy truck and in the process broke one of the hard brake lines at the point where it leads out of the MC. Doe anyone have a good recommendation on fixing this? can I "couple it with a flexible hose?
Thanks,

It sounds like you will need to replace that line back to where is connects to a junction block. Your FLAPS should sell replacement lines by the foot with fittings.

The line that goes around the left side of the MC supplying the left front wheel cylinder is about three feet long. The one that loops around and follows the cross member to the tee on the right side of the frame supplies the right front and two rear wheel cylinders and is about four feet long. You can get new pre-made lines at any FLAPS or farm supply that will get you close to the correct length. Or you can order pre-made lines the are bent to fit from several companies such as Inline Tube, Classic Tube and almost all of the vendors carry pre-bent brake and fuel lines for the AD trucks.
