Measurement from the center of the bottom stud to the top mount is 22". There is no weight on the frame....No cab / bed etc. Springs have been re-arched (large reputable company). The shocks were purchased from one of the popular vendors. Their site says they have an extended length of 25 1/4"...I measure 24 1/4" (tip to tip) To install them required putting about 350 lbs on the frame which now leaves the shock fully extended.

How does that 22" measurement sound? Do the springs have too much arch? Will the weight of the cab/bed be enough to compress the springs. Shocks just too short? What other measurements should I look at?

If anyone can take a measurement for me...top of axle to bottom of frame and/or bottom shock mount to top shock mount, I would really appreciate it.

I am in the same boat as you Dave. I have new springs on my 1952 3100 and just the drive train in the frame. I cannot get the rear shocks to extend enough to stick thru the upper mount. They are close but not through. Even my 200# on the back of the frame does not move the springs at all. I figure when all the body parts, bed, bumpers, etc. get mounted it will finally drop down a little.
At least I am hoping so.
