can anybody tell me if these manifolds are the same for cars and trucks of that era.thanks,jimbo

1/2 ton chevy trucks.i need to know if the manifolds were differant for cars versus 1/2 ton trucks.a buddy wants to use one of my truck manifolds on his 48 car with a 235 in it. didnt want to ship it if it dont fit.

Jimbo,

Might depend on the year of the engines.

What is the year of the truck engine (or manifold)?
What is the year of the car engine (or manifold)?

People sometimes mix newer-style (1954 and newer) and older-style (1953 and older) manifolds with newer and older heads (as some have said on this site). You most likely should find out if the angle of the downward tube on the manifold matches (so the exhaust pipe will line up properly).

THANKS TIM. THE MANIFOLD IS OFF A 59 APACHE 235. MY BUDDY HAS A 48 CHEVY CAR. I WILL CHECK WITH HIM TO FIND OUT WHAT YR. MOTOR HE HAS IN IT.THANKS,JIMBO
