I'm in the process of putting my 53 1/2 ton truck back together for paint. I was wondering if there is a gasket between the back of the front fender (where it wraps around the the front of the cab)and the cab cowl? I have looked on some of the sites to see if they sell one but haven't found it yet.

I seem to remember a paper gasket somewhere on the fenders. Maybe it was on the running boards tho'. In any event it would not be difficult to make one if you want it. But any gasket material will retain water and be a potential rust trap.

A fender welt goes from the very bottom edge of the front fender until the cowl meets the hood.
