I started the modification of the 216 side cover for the 235 I have in my 37,I will put it over the existing 235 cover and cut out around the plugs and had to cut out more around the distributor and road draft tube. Since there is a outward dimple on the 235 cover I heated the 216 cover up and made one on the 216 cover so it would fit better, tomorrow I will weld some nuts on the back of the 216 cover so I can bolt the coil bracket to it. I have taken pics so when done I will post them.

It will be interesting to see it when you are done. It sounds like quiet the disguise!

It will be noticeable to anyone who really knows the motors but I hope it will fool a few of the so called experts that lurk at the shows and cruise ins.

Jeff,

The "Pictures" section in the "Stovebolt Owner's Manual" contains the "official" instructions for posting images.

You could also add a link to the images in your Stovebolt-signature webpage, along with that great-looking '37.

In the intro pic that looks amazingly good on your 235. If you have any other pics on Snapfish, remember, users have to sign up to log in and view the rest.

Nice work. Someday I hope to have time to make more tall aluminum ones similar to Nicson, Sharp, Tornado, and others for 235/261’s.

If I ever go back with the aluminum valve cover I would love to have one of those aluminum side cover since the aluminum valve cover I have is for a 216 and could continue to make it look like a 216.
