Has anybody swapped in one of these new aluminum radiators from superior or AFCO? Or should I just go for recoring mine, I'd rather just deal with the problem instead of pouring in bars leak or some other thing. | | | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 91 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2011 Posts: 91 | i wish i could help you, but, i'm in the same position myself. new radiators cost between $350 and $900. i am gonna watch this post carefully. i'm at the start of a partial restoration of a 41 1.5 ton. the radiator is one of the big ticket items i will be needing. after sitting 50 years, the original was toast. good luck.

It isn't cheap but they do have a warranty, and it is made here in the U.S. by americans. They offer 4 different types of cores, I went with the high efficiency model, as it will cool my 216 as well as a small block if the 216 ever dies. Only down side is they build to order so I have to wait 2 weeks or so. Thanks for the feedback, I'll post some pictures when it arrives. | | |
