Hi again, 1 problem out of the way, now onto the next. My gauges are new SW original style. The fuel gauge is not working, looks like the wires are connected. I have to take the seat out to get at the tank. Are the bolts coming through the floor to remove? also there is a lever on the driver side seems like it should slide, is that what its for? thanks wave

Go to the section of the forum called Electrical Bay and look down about 15 posts. There are two threads that should give you all the info you need regarding the gauge.

The seat doesn't need to come out. The back cushion will pop out. There may be (3?) screws in the top rail but most of them have been removed.

The lever is to adjust the seat forward and aft.
