I have 7.5 x 15" wheels on the back of my 53' with2:85 tires. Tight but they fit.
I'd advise staying away from "really cheap tires" as your life and others depends on them. Buy the best you can afford. | | | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 10 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2011 Posts: 10 | The bead area on those old original type rims may not be compatible with the modern radials Your size does not have an "R" in it, but you seldom see take off tires that are bias. Just a caution, they may mount on and hold air but may not fit properly to safely hit the highway. Also the old rims may be originally for tube type tires. Have a good tire shop look it over to be sure. | | |
