Does anybody know the exact measurement of the height of the grille on the 1953 Chevrolet 3800 series one ton pick-up, I understand they are slightly taller than the 3/4 or 1/2 ton models,

1 1/2 & 2 ton are taller.

Grill widths are the same.
The actual horizontal bars in each truck are close to the same size though only about .125 to .25 inches difference in height. The main difference is the vertical supports. However if your supports are good they can be switched. I bot a .5 ton chrome grill and put it in my 2-ton truck, by using the .5 ton horizontal bars and the 2-ton supports. | | |
