Today was a good day.
As '60-'62 Chevy and GMC owners know, there are no sway bars available for our trucks.
Well, I've set about to correct that situation!
I had some bars prototyped for production, and they arrived today in all their black powder-coated and gold irridite goodness.

I'll bolt them up next week to make sure they fit properly and do the photography for an instruction sheet.

Front bar is 1.125, rear is 7/8. Rear bar installs with no welding, no drilling and no cheesy brackets on the axle housing, while the front requires only drilling two per side in the bottom of the frame rail to anchor the saddle clamps.

I'm stoked!

The plan is to install the front tomorrow or Friday and drive to a show in North Carolina (and back) as a test to see if everything clears. Then I'll probably install the rear bar in the parking lot for the return trip home.

If all goes well, they'll be for sale next week.

I'm looking forward to seeing your rear bar installation. Not much is offered for upgrading the 60-62 chassis.

Drat. the front bar is two inches too wide, and I need different bolts and bushings on the lower portion of the end link.

Hence the word "Prototype"!

Will see about the rear later this week, but i have to put it on to test fit, and then take it back off because running around with just a rear sway bar will make handing really sketchy.
