Because I would lock the drivers door from the inside and go around the truck to the drivers door and jiggle the outside door handle and the door would unlock. It does the samething with the new latch. What am I missing?

Thanks | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 | after 60 years I suspect the parts are simply worn out. maybe a good cleaning and inspection of the original parts is in order, those re-pop parts are not very good quality and I wouldn't count on them working half as good as a worn out original.
