The early Carter had the cast iron throttle body up to the air horn. The WA-1 413 S had just the cast iron throttle body. Intake early manifolds of the 216's had a stud mounting bolt pattern that would mount a Carter or Rochester. The 235's of the 50's Chevrolet installed Rochester's with a different throttle body mount pattern. This 'wrench' finds the early Carter's complicated. Mine sits on my Items Of Utility shelf. Someone may have use for it. I think the carb may be off of that car. He also had a 1940 Plymouth. I thought it was a possibilty also. The base looks to be cast iron with the numbers 1-194 on one side and a 5 on the other side. I do have pictures but can't post them. If someone emails me at [email protected], I'll email them to you. | | |
