old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 13 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2011 Posts: 13 | Howdy everyone. My name is Spanky. I live in Ft. Worth, Tx. I have a '65 chevy pickup and, I'm in the process of re-building/restoring it. It has power steering, power brakes, 350 with turbo 350 trans. Just got thru rebuilding the front brakes with new rotors, calipers/pads. Next on the list is to replace the power steering box with a new one. Old one leaks fluid bad. Also, need to replace the steering column because of worn oout u-joint. After that, will be rebuilding the trans, the one in there leaks fluid bad. Then, probably will do the back brakes. Also need to fix the e-brake but, need all of the parts except the brake lever. If anyone has or knows where I can get parts, please let me know. I have checked most of the on-line parts places like LMC but, all they have is the cables.
P.S. Was going to add pics but, can't find out where to go to do that.

I have a 61 as my sig might imply. I also currently have a brown primered 63. The guy who sold it to me said it was a 283... I just saw the oil breather in the rear and took his word on it. When we pulled it out. 327! it's front end needed the same service as yours. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 Moderator | | Moderator Joined: Mar 2007 Posts: 4,215 | Welcome Spanky, good luck.

Man, you lucked out on that deal getin the 327. Wish I had one instead of the 350 that's in my truck | | | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 39 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2011 Posts: 39 | I like your gas tank. Thats actually not a bad Idea. It takes up very little bed that way. I think I would fab up a bed box that would hide it. | | | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 39 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2011 Posts: 39 | BTW, if you think that 327 was cool, then you would love the 302 my brother pulled out of a 59 Apache he bought. That's right. 69 Z28 motor, intake to pan. | | | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 13 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2011 Posts: 13 | I'm planning to get one of the under bed tanks when I get the bucks. A box around it for now would be a good idea though | | | | | Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,986 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 2,986 | Welcome to the Bolt! Nice truck you have there.
