I'm starting to look for a steering column up-grade. I'm planning on using a M2 front suspension and would like a tilt column. Which would be my best option?

Thanks
Joe

How much dough ya got? '80's Chevy van if you're broke. Buy a street rod mag and look at the ads toward the back if you have around $400 to $500 to spend on it.

I put a column out of an S-10 in my 53 3100, plenty of them around. So I have tilt, locking column and it was easy to wire up the turn signals. Besure to cut the wire loom plug off the doner.

You can make just about any GM column from '69 up to pre air bag columns work. The '70's-'80's van column work well because they are short, as are the '80s- '90's GM front wheel drive column. Then get your steering shafts and steering ujoints from Borgensen or Flaming River. They will tell you how to measure for what you need after you get the column mounted. The S-10 columns are good too and there's a million of them out there in the boneyards. And as Yakimabowtie said, get as much of the column wire harness as you can.
