I broke apart the VIN and came up with this
1943406096
1- year. 1954
9- make. GMC
4- model. 9434
3- wheelbase. 137"
4- style. p/u delivery
06096- production number. mine was the 6096 built.
it has the original engine in it but i have no idea what it is, the VIN reads X451589

94 - GMC 3/4 - 1ton
34 - pick-up delivery 8,800 lbs. g.v.w. 137" wheelbase
06096 - is the vehicle number
