If you can get the numbers that are stamped next to the distibutor, they can be decoded either at American Classics site (see link above) or by one of us 'Bolters if it doesn't come up there. That's the best way to certain of what you have.

I knew that I wanted to get the correct engine so I sold that one. Now it is a Flintstone truck.

The 261 was not an option on a 3/4 ton. That being said, I would find a 261 and put it in the truck. Most people would never know the differance just by looking at it. | | |
