I haven't changed the fuel filter since I got the 63 burb last August. Napa looked it up and gave me what looks like an insert. I was under the truck trying to see what transfer case I've got ( no luck ) when I noticed the fuel filter. It looks sort of similar to the one in the 78 I used to have. Do I remove the canister from the fuel line and replace the filter inside?

I think your asking if what they gave you at Napa goes in your existing fuel filter housing. Its hard to say without seeing them both. I would say just shut off gas, pull filter and see if it comes apart. If you cant figure it out just take it with you when you go for a replacement. Get something east to replace and readily available. Good luck,

Darn T and Y are too close together :hammering: I think any modern filter would work fine as long as the lines are the same size. Thats what I meant by east and readily available = later model.
