Where would one want to buy engine parts such as pistons for a 261? What seems to be the most reliable dealer?

Try Egge obsolete engine parts they list pistons for the 261. Hope this helps.

MoodyBlue, welcome aboard! 2 other palces that are very good are Patrick's and the Stovebolt Engine Co. You can link to them from this site on the Links page. I can speak personally about Patrick's, as I got my parts from them, and I've never heard anything bad about Stovebolt Engine either. Check with the flaps, too. You may be surprized at what they can still get.

I second what Longbox55 sez. I've dealt with both companies many times and will many more. My local NAPA has also been extremely helpful and used to surprise me when they had the parts I was looking for. Now I'm more surprised if they don't.
