Does the entiire linkage seem to appear to work in reverse i.e. -full thrott le control is being pushed backwrd? thanks | | | | | Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 181 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 181 | Let me look through our shop. We still have a Pontiac 316 dual quad manifold here some where too. We had a bunch of those in our old '56 NAPCO GMC fire engines. But to help right now, yes but not hitting the firewall. It should have enough space to allow the Movement of the engine under acceleration to move and not be impeded by hitting that firewall with the throttle wide opened. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 1,897 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 1,897 | Yes, the pontiac 2bbl throttle linkage pulls toward the firewall. I reused most of the stock linkage when I installed the trip deuces on my 59 GMC. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 1,897 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 1,897 | | | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 32 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 32 | Yes, perfect just seemed backward. right on now too work and hope to fire her up tom | | |
