Hey all,
I'm thinking of replacing the 292 in my '65 P-30.
Not having ever swapped out the 292 for a small block, I'm wondering how many parts will need to be changed, other than the obvious things like the exhaust system.

Thanks for any and all input.

You will need to replace the passenger side motor mount bracket, it is particular to the 292. The radiator will need to be checked to see if it is a 2 or 3 row.

would have to see what the mounting looked like, but you would have to change that righ side to what a v8 used in that application. it is possible that the same from lessor models may work

Hey,
If you are going to sell the 292 Chevy L6 let me know. I'm looking for one for a friend whom has money and a nice '52 Chevy business coupe to put it in.

I have a 59 1/2 ton that I installed a small block in it. The front mount you can buy in a kit. It will slide thru the frame and you bolt the outside to the frame and weld the two ends. The rear mount will be bell housing or mount to rear of the automatic transmission.

I have two 292 Chevy 6 motors I would like to sell. They are all apart so you can see what your getting. I live in sol calif. Handtight

I live in Vacaville so the drive is just six hours plus my home is in Julian where I have family. I am interested and am a cash buyer for a friend. Email me and we can arrange a date to meet and get the transaction done.
