Most truck air cleaners sit on top of the carb due to plenty of clearance. JoeK's looks like a car cleaner to me.

Mine looks just like JoeK's. Unless mine has a car air cleaner too...

My '65 230 air cleaner is a simple round unit with a single snorkel coming off at a 45 degree angle toward the driver's side front . Also uses a normal pleated air filter .

The snorkel-style, with the paper element and the oil-bath style were both available on '60-'66 Chevy/GMC trucks, Panels & Suburban Carryalls, for both the six cylinder & V8 trucks.

Does anyone have the details on converting the oil bath air cleaner into one that will accept a paper filter. I recall a thread describing the process, but I can't seem to find it when I need it.
