Does anyone how well a 1976 long stepside bed will fit on a 1964 c20?

That's a good question. I have a 66 longbed and the bed is in ruff shape. I had thought about the later model long steps after seeing one in the junkyard. I do know that the fender opening contours will not match the front, and that really offends some folks but I don't think it's that big a deal.

I always thought the 1973 series bed looked like it was designed for the 60-66 cab, ever since I saw this one back in the late 70’s. The fenders are the same width as the cab, and the angled corners almost match the styling indentation on the side of the body as indicated in the 2nd photo.

I can’t say I ever remember ever seeing a long wheelbase version of this bed, but it should look as good as it does on a short bed.

Stepside bed is same from 54-87.

The stepside bed fenders are the same from '55-'66. The stepside bed may be the same from '54-87, but the fenders are not. Although they may mount & bolt-on, without much trouble, they are not the same appearance after '66.

I have a '66 short step that I put a 76 stepside bed on it. I actually like it better than original, we should of had our own bed and fender design with this truck.
