The casting number is 590474 SN#9088I33. It is a four speed with the thumb lock out for the reverse. I would like to find out any info so I can attempt to mate this up to my new 292 if at all possible. Any info would be great. Thanks.

All I have ever heard them referred to is a GM sliding gear transmission because it uses sliding gears instead of syncros. The bolt pattern is different than later Chev or GMC transmissions.
