I would like to know if i can put power steering into my 1946 chevy shortbox but still keep my stock front axle?? I found kits for 1949-59 chevy trucks to use 1969-87 chevy 2wd steering boxes, but nothing for 1946. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Oh and i would like to put a 350 into the truck, a big reason in me wanting to put power steering into it.

Sounds like you would be better off "stanging" it.

Ive done the research CPP's power steering kit for 47 & up will fit my 38.Will need to cut the mounting bracket no biggie.the frame's are slightly different. As long as the two upper spindle bolts are 7/16 and 3 1/8 inches on center the steering arm should fit.I'll be ordering soon

These old bolts are in my blood. Hard thing is focusing on just one.
