Also oil filter is shorter than what use ta' puttin' in (Napa says I'm good). Would these changes cause pressure ta' drop? Am sure I'm O.K., but would like second opinions. Pre-thanks in order.

Some space requirments you have to use the short filter. If you have room next time I would use the longer one. It is for v-8,s. If it smokes or uses oil you may have to use a heavier oil like 10/40 or 15/40. A lot of people are going to the 15/40 desiel oil. It has more protection for the flat tappets.

Thanks for the response and will keep an eye on any changes w/ engine ie., oil leaks, etc',.
Thought that I could possibly have some problems what with switchin' over to a variable wgt oil.
Right now she looks pretty good (knockin' on wood). ~Skip
Will keep in mind your recommendation on the other variable wgt's.
