Any more details? What make, model and year truck? What part number for the bracket you bought or what might it fit?

Mine came from CPP. From what I hear they all take a little "adjusting" to make the fit, but yours does sound like a screw-up.

The quality is good. might hve to tweek the angle of the pedal arm to use the original hole.
