I'm in the process of painting the frame and inside of front fenders. I've read here POR 15 is a very good choice. I just have the problem that where I live POR is not available and importing it since it is considered dangerous material, is sort of out of the question. Any other options?

Zero Rust? excellent and non-toxic, but maybe you can't import any kind of paint? then maybe Tremclad or Rustoleum is available locally, both give good results [common owner now] with proper prep

YES POR-15!! I used it on my 59 GMC. I sand blasted my frame, air hosed it off, cleaned with brake cleaner and BRUSHED on the POR-15. It looks great. You can order it from Summit Racing. Have fun with it!!

I'll try what Bill suggests. Does those spray liners might work to protect the frame? Give it another hand of color over the liner?

Problem with ordering from US is that paint is considered dangerous (no air delivery) and by boat is an extremely long and hard paper work. By land, well, it might get kidnaped by the Zetas in México.

Have you checked locally on what the auto paint shops in the Guatemala area use? Do you have a local auto body paint supplier in your area? Trailer builders and truck repair shops should have a product they use.

ive used tractor supply implement paint on one frame and XO RUST on another frame with good results without the high cost of shop paint.
