Forgive me if this has been asked and answered before, but I am the new guy and don't know where to find everything just yet.
I am building a 53' 3100 Chevy. I plan on putting all new suspension under it. I will probably use a late model Camaro or Pontiac rear end with matching wheel and lug bolt patterns in the front too. 5 on 4 1/2" or 5 on 4 3/4" is going to be what I use. Of course this is totally different than the stock 6 lug set up. Here is the $64,000 question: Does anybody know if I can find stock-looking steel rims that will fit with disc brakes AND still use the OEM Chevy center hub caps? I really would like to keep the stock look of the wheels and I have 5 new caps that are very cool.
Any help on this is good help

But I know you can look at www.lmctruck.com and www.classicparts.com and they sell a lot of hub caps and wheels. You can call and ask for advise on what there wheel sizes are and what caps fit. Also They have front end conversions that will fit 5 lugs with stock looking wheels. cm If you can't fix it with a hammer and screwdriver, you need a bigger hammer.1965 Chevy C10 | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 576 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 576 | yeah...wheel vintiques was what i was thinkin...not sure if they have wheels your stock caps will fit but they got some repop caps that fit their wheels that sure give that stock look..............dave 1949 Chevrolet 3100 "When this thing hits 88 miles an hour, you're going to see some serious sh%t." -Doc Brown

All those will fit over disks, but they are all "Rallye" style. They MAY have a 15" that will fit stock caps. Also, one of the members from the UK cast a ring to hold the stock caps on wheels that won't normally take them. I wish I could remember who, but I see his posts from time to time.
Best wishes,

When I got my Heidts front end and my Camaro rear I decided to get a set of Camaro rally wheels. I found 4 (never thought to get the 5th for a spare) at a local junque yard. I then ordered a set of the OEM center hubcaps. Then reality slapped me in the face. The little puckers that always kept the hubs on were not there. What a rude awaking. I had power-coated the wheels a matching green color, that cost $40 each = $160.00 and the hubs were about $112. That's $272.00 and they still wouldn't fit. Dang! So I bought a set of clips that would hold the hubcaps on. Someday after I finish the project I guess I'll get them on, but what a learning experience. I've have plenty of these in the past 5 years, just not as expensive as this.
