I got so sick of how little was in my 37 shop manual that I searched and finally found an Audels " New Automotive Guide" for mechanics, operators and servicemen book that is copy right 1938 thru 1947 and it is really packed with the stuff any mechanic of the time wants to know, it even covers diesel motors and tractors and touches on body work. I hate my stock manual.
Being a prior helicopter and fixed wing mechanic with lots of phase dock time (tear down and rebuild) with the USAF I like manuals that show every thing down to the nut and bolt. The Audel manual is not that precise but it a heck of a lot better than the Chevy Manual.
