working on my 62 235 doner motor and need the oil line that goes on the center of the rocker arm shaft , mine has a few digs ,where can you find them ?

Adam, Are you referring to the oil connector (1954) in the middle of the two rocker-arm bars, which changed over the years (1959)? You will need the style of connector that matches the year of of your rocker-arm assembly, that hopefully matches the year of your head (that hopefully matches the oil-supply plumbing on the year of your block). If everything is from 1962, you will most likely want a connector as shown from in the 1959 manual (I'll check later manuals tonight). Yes it's on the middle rocker arm support where the two shafts meet, the one that I have looks like someone pinched it with a pair of pliers.

Early part # was 3764478
later # is 3779879.
Pinching it with a pair of pliers was not uncommon.

Pinching it to change presure/ flow both ? do I replace it ? new to the hobby.
Adam | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | 1959-62 will be pinched off from the factory to give full pressure to the shafts, before that there is an over flow tube.
I would check your rockers to make sure they are 1959-62. The groove inside each rocker should be offset 1/4" from center.
If the groove is centered let me know.

Would you please post your head date casting code? You might want to also post a link to a photo of your connector. It could be the earlier style I posted above - which style of connector does it look like (1954 or 1959)?
