IFS? 4X4? Some more information on what your plans are would be helpfull in determining what frame best suits your needs.
Personal opnion, the stock frame would be best.

Believe it or not I've been buying parts all these years and now maybe going to start to work on it. Although I've had thoughts of selling it all and saving for a 2010 Camaro. I've got about $12,000 in parts lying around. I have all parts to do frame, dropped axle, lower springs,shocks, etc. But I was just thinking it might be easier to but a more modern frame under it? Maybe buy a wrecked truck and use as much of it as I can. I don't know after all thses years trying to decide what to do. The tires I bought are 285/60/15 for rear and 235/75/15 for front. I'm working at NAPA since retireing from UPS and the guys in machine shop said they can save me alot on the machine work. Also one of the perks for working there is I get parts at cost. They tell me I can build my engine for under $1500. Nothing crazy! Maybe this summer if I can get started on it I will get inspired to keep going. I built a 69 Camaro back when I got out of high school in 1978 and I guess this isn't any worse. My wife wants me to give up but I just can't seem to do it. I've pictured the truck done so many times in my head!Thanks for the help!!! Maybe one of these days I'll post some pictures of this basket case!!! | | |
