Looking at it, it's a GR8 but with slots in the head instead of the usual raised marks. Doing some research with the parts manual, I found it is a GM type AA six slotted head GR 8 bolt with 300M steel. Searching in the net it seems AETNA makes these exact bolt. I'm assuming they won't sell me 6 units. Have any of you bought these bolts before or have you used standard Gr 8 bolts UNF?. If the 7/16-20 thread is right, they should work as well as, or better than original equipment. They've also got the big, thin heads for good clutch hub clearance. Jerry

I'm not really looking for the original bolts, since metallurgy on those days is not as good as today, but what caught my attention was the use of 300M steel (stated by the parts manual) which exceeds some specs of grade 8 standard material.
