Ok, I got the origonal jack and mounting hardware, thank goodness it's not part of a coordination test...FAIL!, anyone have a diagram for a 60 Apache jack storage ?

I've seen a couple mounted underhood on driver's fenderwell/apron. I stuck mine under the seat like Tony shows-my old black '64 had it there, but the blue/white one I have now did not even have any holes there. Guess it was on the fenderwell, but there's no holes there either

Thank you for the diagram, one question, where it points to the tire iron, is that a misprint or is that a 4th tool or? I see the jack / handle / and tire iron for the lug nuts but the diagram is pointing to somthing else that says tire iron?

Do you think that inner fender was replaced?

Great diagram. During our recent Junk Yard Tour, i found a jack, tire iron and handle. Looking forward to cleaning it up and installing. Thanks for the help.

probably-the outer fender on that side was nearly perfect w/a GM tag on it, like it had been replaced.

My buddy in high school had a 64, the jack & all was on the inner fender.

The larger trucks came w/an extra
tire iron, IIRC.

The boss at Stovebolt HQ was playing tricks with me. I do not know of the process. Just happened one day. I guess if you plant enough of John and Peggy's christmas trees you get an avitar.

The only location for the jack, jack handle & lug wrench for the '60-'66 Chevy light-duty trucks, per the printed literature, was below the seat on the driver side. If there is information available, showing the jack assembly on the inner fender, I would really like to see it. The arrow showing the tire iron, is pointed to the wrong area. There are three parts of the assembly, including the jack, jack handle & the lug wrench.

Ok thats kinda what I thought but if you look at it it looks like one of those old tire spoons from way back, although my thoughs were no freakin way I still was not sure.

Tony, I've only seen it under the seat in literature also(but I had to drill my blue 64's floor for the jack brackets, it never had one there),but have seen a few other original trucks with it mounted on the inner fender. The handle/lug wrench was in the "angle" bend at the top of the inner fender(opposite side from hood hinge), jack mounted below. It may be different from plant to plant or whoever worked that day.

I've had 2 60's trucks with the jack on the inner fender .... maybe a Canadian thing, but as Brian notes, very likely varied by assembly plant
