Ok. I found a cool looking intake but it looks funny. Anyone every use it before. Its on ebay. A thickstun Duel intake.

Interesting. Did anybody scroll down far enough to see the addendum that this only fits "216 and earlier" engines? Apparently a no-go on the 235/261.

Ya, Sucks. Cause it is a real cool looking intake. He has a cool valve cover to go with it. its cast.

Don't know what these repops are worth, but if you find original Thickstun items, they are gold and price will reflect that.

Someone came along to that ad and told the seller this:

"Q: Your manifold will fit the head for a 216, 235, 261. The intake rings/ports are smaller for the 216, but they have rings/sleeves that are made to fit a 216 to a 235 or vice versa. You list the carb centers as 2 15/16 which is the larger base for 235, 261. The 216 carb center is 2 11/16. Finally the other difference is the heat box bolt centers, on the bottom of your intake manifold. You cannot mix and match an exhaust and intake 216 with a 235 or vice versa. Because, the heat box Intake to exhaust manifold stud spacing on the 216 is 2 1/8" and the Intake to exhaust manifold stud spacing on the 235 is 2 1/2" Feb-08-11

Drilling/tapping for the smaller carbs as well as machining the runners for 235/261's would have made it way more user friendly and as is it seems to be for neither? At least they got the linkage thing right and the rest can be corrected. A cool alternative if they actually get out there and compete with the Offy and Fenton.

The seller must be playing "dumb"
because he has sold them before.

Every now and again he will list one. In early 2009, he got $455 and then $500. Last one he sold in Nov. 09 for $315.

He sells alot of other Thickstun and Tattersfield stuff.

So....he's no dummy.
