This thread was actually started in General Truck with Eric asking about the price of this truck. Well, if you read on - or don't - HE GOT THE TRUCK! So, I thought I'd move it in here for additional comments and to connect it with his Ga11ery submission. ~ Peg

I'm about to buy a 1955 Chevy 1st series 3600 NAPCO Truck. 3 window cab, body rough but no cancer, with a flatbed.

Not enough info. Does it run? How long since it ran? How are the brakes? How's the interior? Got pictures?

Pretty scarce truck. Like Cletis said, we'll need more info for a good estimate. There was one on e-bay a while back, but I can't remember if it met the reserve or not. I think it was from Oregon and might have been bid up into the 5k range. I'm pretty sure it was a running truck and it had a stepside bed on it. Great find and I hope you get a good deal on it.

Looks like you got a stable full of cool trucks. I hope this NAPCO turns out to be a good one for you. Looking forward to hearing more about it and seeing some pics.

You poor man. It's apparent that you have the addiction. Why don't you save yourself some grief and let me buy that NAPCO truck. thumbs_up

Seriously; good luck with it. Please post pictures!

What's My Truck Worth?

Info is as valid for buying as for selling. The short answer is that you have to do your research.

Good luck!

UPDATE
I finally brought the NAPCO home. Needless to say I paid $500 for it. It came from an Indian reservation. The flatbed that's on it has "FORD" stamped on the back (WWII era?) Im selling the flatbed. Im already looking for a 1954 3600 truck for parts. The truck looks like it had a stepside bed on it from the beginning. So im in the process of finding a bed and other parts it may need.

I really would like to keep it but if I get a good offer I would sell.

WOW! thumbs_up thumbs_up

It looks like you have your work cut out for you but it will be well worth the effort. That must be one of the very first NAPCO units.

It looks like it has the optional electic windshield wiper motor by the screw heads on the dash top.

beast54 what a rare find... If you were closer I consider getting it... Hope that it gets restored...

Take a look at NAPCO4x4 Forum as another source of information...

Eric,

This is very cool. And it was good to come across all your Photobucket info. So, I'm updating your Gallery page; adding this one and then I'll do some work on your signature line so everyone can see all your cool iron!

Oh, and I'm gonna move this to the DITY Gallery so it can stay in the discussion mode!

And I saw someone make a comment about your "collection." grin You all need to read Eric's saga in the Fea tures section! One of our early submissions, even (2004) ... and a two parter!

Cheers,
Peg

Eric,

If there is any problems with the pages or list, let me know and I'll fix it. The link-checking gave a thumbs up on the Gallery pages but I wasn't sure about the listing.

Peg
