Has anyone had problems with the after market hinges for a 1952 3100? If so, what are some of the solutions?

Many years ago I remember having to bend an NOS hinge to get it to work correctly. I didn't do the bending, a shop did. Oh and they used the wrong technique to do it, and bent out the hinge box opening, not happy about that. The NOS door would not adjust out hardly at all. Bending and enlongating the holes are some options. This was a TF truck.

Kicking self for selling off my Taskforce trucks.
Still looking for an LCF or conventional big bolt in decent shape.


As of 10-26-2022, A 55.2 Taskforce long bed now the work begins

Thanks Truckrolet! I've come up with a couple other answers that are saying the same thing ..... Looks like that's what I'll have to try. I was hoping there was another way other than to bend the hinge frown

I used aftermarket hinges on my driver side and they were (almost) perfect. Sure surprised me!

My thoughts on the after market hinges..... not worth the trouble! No matter what I did, the doors just would not fit right frown
Came up with some old hinges to re-build and the doors fit perfect! The old hinges are worth the extra work..... far less work and stress in the long run!
Stick with the old original parts if possible!!!!
