I was at a outdoor water feature/pond shop the other day and i seen a wall full of strips that looks just like our old truck bed strips.. I ask the sales man what is this for he said there called Termintation Bars used for there ponds.. There Stainless steel & steel comes in 10'long and sells for $7bucks ..My question is does anyone know of this and had anyone use it??

Please tell us more about it? Do you have a good picture or specs on the end view?

From what I found, they do not look exactly like the bed rails.

pretty much 100% match.. I also have searching google images a found few more places.. Im thinking of replacing my steel with some SS from the pond shop, will cut the cost tremendously on what other shops are charging.

So far from what I'm seeing in these links is the ones that look the most realistic for bed strips are aluminum, not stainless. And the stainless ones don't look like bed strips.

They also seem to have holes every 8" or so, and you'd want no holes so you can put them where they belong..

If you have ever tried to cut, drill, and punch Stainless anything, " frustration factor" is worth extra $$ for right stuff *g*

How far apart are the mounting holes on the truck, itself? I see that at least one of those strips above have predrilled holes at 6" on center.

Especially considering the right stuff is only $10/strip from Mar-K and you can get some polished or unpolished stainless from them too.
