Every truck I see in pictures and even on Barrett-Jackson last night shows the coil right side up with wire on top. Which direction should I position the coil to be correct? Dunno if it had any real effect, but it supposedly kept condensation or puddle splash from accumulating in the high voltage tower and drowning out the ignition. If they could have turned the distributor upside down too, it would have been a lot more believable.

Speaking of the distributor, correct location for the
#1 plug wire is at or near the 5 o'clock position.
