For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 114 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 114 | years ago i came across this at a swapmeet and picked it up for 10 bucks! all complete, but ive never tested to see if it works. if not im sure it wouldnt take much at all. has a serivce tag on the side from back in 1973 look like it was serviced. anyways i have a 51 chevy truck and the day i bought it in 1994 i held it under my dash to see what it would look like, but it doesnt quite fit. the knob spacing is off just a bit! Was gmc and chevy radios different?? i put it away after that. any help is greatly appriciated!! | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 2,201 | I think the GMC and Chevy dash is the same for 47 to 53. Maybe it's not a truck radio. Post some pictures and we'll help you figure it out. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 114 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 114 | ill try to get some pix this weekend. its identical to a 47-53 chevy radio in size and everything. | | |
