The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area The Electrical Bay LED tail light ?

Installing new stock (turn signals added) wiring on 1956 3200. Got the harness from M&H. I am putting New LED tail lights that have two wires (black & white). On Led assemblies does it make a difference which wire goes where. What I don't know is how they are wire internally. Are they different from the old two contact bulb system. I have some concerns with the M&H harness but will report later when installed. I assumed the Black wire to the right rear was my tail light line and I tapped into it for my center License plate bulb (no provision for this light in harness).

First - obviously - check the instructions. It's my understanding that with LED's, polarity does matter. On mine, the BLACK is taillights, red is brake lights and white is ground. Go figure.

If yours is only 2 wire, I'm guessing it's internally grounded/grounded by the housing. I'd do a quick bench test to be sure.

I've also just finished hooking up my LED Lights,and discovered the ground was white.
Black was tail and red was brake, the same as The Green Farmers.
The lamps came with NO instructions/diagrams
I checked mine by hooking them up to a battery with no ill effects.
